From May 24th through early September, kids are welcome every Sunday morning from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM to learn (or improve) their surfing skills. Beginners will first receive theory on currents, surf rules, and safety before entering the water. More experienced 'grommets' (junior surfers) will receive instruction at their own level to improve their skills. You can participate once or multiple times. The lessons include the use of a wetsuit and board. In case of high waves or strong winds, we will switch to bodyboarding. Participation is open to those with a swimming certificate or higher, and participants must be able to carry their own board for surfing. If they are not yet able to do so, they can of course participate using a bodyboard.
The cost is €15 per person for those under 18 and €25 for those 18 and older. Registration is not required and use of board and wetsuit is included.
Surfschool Bergen aan Zee is located next to / at the pavilion De Jongens Bergen aan Zee. De Jongens is known as a cozy and contemporary beach pavilion in the popular Bergen aan Zee. In addition, our unique surf school completes the offer.
